LaSalle County Board members want Landcomp to cut the fee for taking a pickup truck load of junk to the landfill in half. The company currently charges at least $169 per pickup truck load, based on a two-ton minimum fee at the landfill west of Ottawa. A County Board resolution passed on Thursday calls for a $75 limit. The board members put it into a resolution allowing the landfill operator to keep taking garbage hauled from DuPage, Will, Kane, and Cook counties.
