Rodney Reese is being described as a friend and mentor to everyone he met through the fire service. The retired Serena fire chief had been with the department for 49 years, according to an announcement from the Serena Firefighters Association. The announcement was made Friday afternoon. Reese retired in 2015. He was 76.
