An Ameren Illinois project to improve service reliability between Ottawa and Wedron is nearly done. The company started replacing power lines and more than 80 power poles in January. It expects the project to be done by late this month.
That project has been done along two-and-a-half miles of lines in the area of the Ottawa Industrial Park and other places in eastern parts of the city. Ameren Illinois put $2.6 million into the work.
