At least two nursing homes in LaSalle County have had corona virus cases. The Illinois Department of Public Health says a resident of the veterans home in LaSalle has the virus. An announcement yesterday from St. Sen. Sue Rezin’s office says only that one resident has tested positive there. Other residents and staff have tested negative.
Aperion Care in Marseilles also has a corona virus case, according to the company’s web site on which it’s providing numbers of people affected at its homes throughout Illinois.
Both cases appear to be recent, with neither appearing on an Illinois Department of Public Health web site updated on Friday last week.
