Ottawa police say the body of Thomas E. Thompson, reported missing on Saturday, has been found near Interstate 80. The police department says a man’s body was found late Tuesday morning. An autopsy done Wednesday confirmed that it was Thompson.
His last known whereabouts were north of downtown Ottawa last Thursday night. Det. Sgt. Kyle Booras says the death is still under investigation, but it is not thought to have been the result of foul play. Thompson was 71 years old and lived in Ottawa. The police department thanks everyone who tried to help find him.
