A bridge west of Serena will be closed this Friday for a seven-month project. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the U.S. 52 bridge over Indian Creek will get a bridge deck replacement. A posted detour will take drivers on Illinois 71, Interstate 80, and Illinois 23. Drivers can use other alternate routes to get around closer to the closure.
