The LaSalle County Health Department now says there have been 50 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county. The new cases are a man in his twenties and a man in his eighties. 21 people have recovered. Health officials say the local number will likely continue to increase as testing increases and the state gets closer to its expected peak next month. Illinois announced 2,219 new cases Tuesday and 144 new deaths. There are 48,102 confirmed cases in the state and 2,125 deaths.
