Fishers take advantage of Sunday’s weather at Ottawa’s partially reopened parks

People returned to Ottawa’s parks over the weekend. They’d been entirely closed because of the governor’s stay-at-home orders to prevent the spread of the corona virus. But the open spaces, including fishing areas, are open again.

Many of the fishers came from Chicago or the suburbs, just like normal. Some said they came to Ottawa on chance that fishing would be allowed; others said they paid attention to the news and decided to make the trip when they found out it was okay.

Fishers got out to enjoy the good weather and partially reopened Ottawa parks Sunday.
