A Peru man will serve four years on probation for some shooting incidents in the LaSalle area last year. Twenty-one year old Kevin T. Jones has already served most of the six-month jail sentence he got. In jail since November 21, Jones was let out on Friday. Jones was sentenced Friday to charges that he shot a gun and damaged a building in the 300 block of Fourth St. in November and fired shots from a vehicle in rural LaSalle. He’ll pay $500 restitution to the building owner and $2,807 in fines and court costs. Jones pleaded guilty to the charges two months ago before Judge H. Chris Ryan.
