Marseilles library gets new carpet during shutdown

A $10,000 carpet installation job is underway inside the Marseilles Library. Director Jan Ambrose says the library got its money’s worth out of the old carpet.

Putting in the carpet during the stay-at-home orders that shut the library has worked out well. Ambrose says books and shelves were moved from one side of the library to the other for half the job. Then everything was moved again to finish it. The adult fiction and non-fiction sections are trading places in the process.

The Marseilles Public Library shared this picture of the new carpet on social media.
