The wreath laying on Ottawa’s Main St., parade on Columbus St., and ceremony in Washington Park won’t happen this Memorial Day. The holiday is more than a month away. But Ottawa Memorial Association President Katie Troccoli says with the pandemic threat still looming now, it seems like a bad idea to invite a big crowd. And Ottawa’s Memorial Day events always draw big crowds.
Troccoli hopes something can be done on Independence Day. The association will still put flags and flowers on veterans’ graves in the Ottawa area for Memorial Day.
