Not being able to sit down together in the same room because of social distancing guidelines, Ottawa City Hall and the fire fighters’ union have agreed to just extend a labor contract. The contract has been expired for nearly a year. City Commissioner Wayne Eichelkraut says the two sides agreed to just add two years onto it, so now it expires next year.
Eichelkraut says the contract gives the fire fighters 3% raises in each of the two additional years.
