The Regional Office of Education for LaSalle, Marshall, and Putnam Counties recently established the Educate 35 foundation to benefit students in the district. Regional Supt. Chris Dvorak says one goal is helping vulnerable students find food while school is out because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dvorak says the foundation has purchased $2,300 in gift cards for local restaurants to hand out to students and given out meals from Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating.

E-learning help is another area the foundation is working on.

Educate 35 has raised around $20,000 so far. Anyone wanting to donate should contact the regional office for more information.
