Illinois Governor Outlines Financial Challenges From Coronavirus Pandemic

(Metro News) Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is pointing out the financial hardships the state is facing due to the coronavirus pandemic. He reports that experts are expecting a two-point-seven billion dollar shortfall in revenue this fiscal year. Estimates also show a projection of four-point-six billion dollars less in state revenue next fiscal year. Along with other lawmakers, Pritzker is pushing for another stimulus bill from the government to assist state responses to the crisis. New coronavirus numbers show over 13-hundred additional cases and 80 deaths as Illinois is nearing 25-thousand total cases and one-thousand deaths.
