Health care workers from OSF Healthcare are making house calls during the pandemic. Dr. Cliff Martin says the Pandemic Healthcare Worker Program is for people who are sick with the corona virus, but not critically ill. A patient not sick enough to be in the hospital may still need some support at home.
The medical personnel who visit will check a patient every day to decide if his or her condition is still good enough not to require a trip to the hospital. Martin says it can keep close monitoring of a person’s condition and make the patient feel safer.
