LaSalle County State’s Attorney Karen Donnelly says there are mechanisms in place in the court system to help certain inmates get out of jail while awaiting trial during the COVID-19 outbreak. She feels the county jail is doing everything it can to keep inmates safe and staff safe.
Donnelly says the jail has reduced its population so there’s only one person per cell. In-person visitation at the jail is already banned.
