Mediacom had already announced it’s raising its monthly data use limit for Ottawa area internet customers. Then it decided after the pandemic began that it’s going to ignore data limits altogether for regular customers, at least until the middle of May. Spokeswoman Phyllis Peters says the company is trying to help people who need to work, learn, and play at home. She says if you need more time to pay a bill, call the company and ask about a late fee waiver.
Peters says the situation will be reassessed as time goes by.
