All Ottawa parks ordered closed

By WCMY News Apr 2, 2020 | 4:25 PM

All parks in Ottawa are now closed. The Ottawa Police Department says only the boat launches at Allen and Fox River parks will stay open for the public and only for launching boats. All public bathrooms are closed too. Police can fine violators up to $750 and possibly charge them with reckless conduct. The closures are part of the effort to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Police tape is meant to keep children off the playground equipment at Kiwanis Park.

A police officer stationed at Allen Park turned people away at the rate of about 90 per hour Thursday.
