Up to $100,000 could soon be on its way to help non-profit organizations that feed, clothe, and shelter people in this area. Pamela Beckett of the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation says the Illinois COVID-19 Grantmakers Response Fund informed her Tuesday afternoon of the eligibility.
She’s working with the United Way chapters in the area to identify eligible organizations and how much they might need to get by for two months. Beckett has to compile as much information as she can by Thursday afternoon.
To get the info in on time, she’s asking representatives of area non-profits to take a survey by Thursday morning on www.srccf.org. Beckett spoke about it on WCMY’s Morning Meeting program.
