A boat fire at Heritage Harbor in Ottawa wasn’t called in last week. Ottawa Fire Capt. Kevin Theis says when firefighters were working the house fire on Franklin Ave. last Friday, a boat caught fire at the harbor about a half hour before. The harbor’s fire master was called to help put the fire out. Theis says the large boat had an automatic fire suppression, so the fire on the boat was out quickly. Ottawa Fire Chief Brian Bressner was later called to investigate the cause. He believes it was something electrical.
