A vehicle fire that spread to a home in the 1400 block of Pickwick St. in Ottawa was accidental. Fire Chief Brian Bressner says firefighters were called to the home just before 3:30 Saturday morning. The fire was out in less than ten minutes. People living in the home had to evacuate but no one was hurt. No firefighters were hurt. The department stayed after the fire was out to investigate. There’s no cost estimate as to how much damage the fire caused. Firefighters also received help from the Ottawa Police Department.
