The Marseilles Fire Department put out a boat fire last Friday. It happened about a mile east of the Illinois River Bridge.
When firefighters arrived, a 21 foot boat was completely engulfed in flames. It took firefighters thirty minutes to put it out. No one was injured. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
