UPDATE: Illinois State Police District 5 says I-80 westbound is open again west of Morris.
There’s a big traffic backup on Interstate 80 westbound approaching Seneca this morning. A semi-truck caught fire northeast of Seneca during the 4am hour. Police have closed the westbound lanes from Morris to Marseilles. Drivers can use U.S. 6 or the Morris Blacktop.
